Day 1 – PALERMO
Arrival in Palermo in the afternoon. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2 – PALERMO
Full board at the hotel. The guided visit of Palermo includes the Cathedral and the marvellous Palatine Chapel. Continuation towards Monreale to admire the Arab-Norman cathedral with its breathtaking mosaics and the Benedictine Cloister. In the afternoon, excursion to Mondello and Monte Pellegrino. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3 – PALERMO/AGRIGENTO
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart to Segesta and visit to the Doric temple dating back to V century A.C. Proceed to Erice, a medieval hilltop town overlooking the sea (visit of the Main Church). Continue to the archaeological park of Selinunte with the impressive temples and Acropolis. Lunch in a restaurant. In the evening, transfer to the hotel in Agrigento. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – AGRIGENTO/EASTERN SICILY
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart to Agrigento and guided visit of the “Temple Valley”. Continuation to Piazza Armerina to visit the Roman Villa del Casale dating back to III – IV C. D.C., famous for its well-preserved mosaic decoration. Lunch in a restaurant. Transfer to the hotel in Siracusa. Accommodation, dinner and overnight.
Day 5 – EASTERN SICILY
Breakfast at the hotel. Guided visit of the Archaeological area of Siracusa including the famous Greek Theatre, the Latomie (stone quarries) and Ear of Dionysius. Afterwards, visit of Ortigia island, the old city centre of Siracusa to admire the Arethusa Fountain and the stunning Cathedral. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit of the baroque town of Noto, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6 – EASTERN SICILY
Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe, up to a height of 1800 meters to visit the Sylvester craters. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit of the charming medieval town of Taormina and its Roman/Greek theatre. Accommodation in hotel in eastern Sicily.
(Depending on weather and volcano conditions, the excursion can be changed with the visit of Catania).
Day 7 – EASTERN SICILY /PALERMO
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Messina and short stop to admire the tower bell next to the cathedral. Continue to Cefalù, the fascinating costal town known for its Norman Cathedral. Lunch in a restaurant. In the evening, transfer to Palermo. Dinner and overnight.
Day 8 – PALERMO
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport. End of our services.
