After a panorama view on the country road outside the modern City of Palermo we arrive on a tipical Sicilian farm house named Parcovecchio, in the zone on Marineo, about 30 km from Palermo. The owners welcome you spending a time to visit the farm factory ( famous ricotta cheese is product here ). Then the interest is moved to the coocking class made by the son of the owner, Ciro. There is no a particular menu in program, just, as the original Mediterranean diet says, cook fresh and local products from Sicilian territory. After pre-dishes made of cheeses, handmade marmalade and local vegetables and local bread, pasta will be served ( pasta is one the the most important meal in Italy ) in the country restaurant of the farm ( Trattoria ). Local red wine & water will be served during the lunch. Second dish made of meet and fresh local fruits gives end to a beautiful excursion on the country heart of Sicily, outside the classical tourist itinerary ! Don’t take distraction, You’ll see all the preparation of the menu !

This itinerary was the most required on 2011 by clients from allover the World and was not a case ! Infact is a no-stressing road that gives You, just in one day, a little idea of Sicily. Three differents sight: Segesta, that means archeologic Sicily, Nubia & ita salt pans in Trapani, that show You the sicilian coast with ita beautiful landscape and also its nature, Erice, that gives You an image of medieval Sicily. The road is really preatty, main highway, apart the unforghettable view of the old street going up from Trpaani to mount Erice (old monte San Giuliano). All three sight are not far from Palermo, and thank to this You have more time to “explore” all sights. This itinerary is also named “the Elimian’s Road”, because the Elimians, one of the first habitants of Sicily, estrablished themselves in this zone of Sicily.

ZINGARO, SCOPELLO & CASTELLAMMARE DEL GOLFO photo stop

After about one hour road along the north coast of Sicily, arrive to Scopello. Time to visit the small borgo (45minutes) one time place od handcraft work. Conitue to the Tonnara and photo stop to the wonderfull coast (tonnara not visitable). Few minutes arrive to Zingaro, first natural reserve in Sicily (entrance fee € 3.00 per person) and 2 hours free to visit the reserve, trekking road or time for a bath in Cala Caprera (swim clothes and towel not included – coast WITHTOUT lifeguard). Lunch not included, suggested pocket lunch & mineral water. Driving You back to Palermo stop in Bellevue of Castellamare del Golfo and then taste of famous cassatelle di ricotta cookies. Back to Palermo in one hour.

ISOLA DELLE FEMMINE by boat sunset experience

After about half hour road arrive to the fisher harbor of Isola delle Femmine. Short walk around the village and meet the underwater-vision Boat. After about one hour of road from Palermo, arrive in Solunto archeo park, a famous Phoenician-roman location. Visit for free about one hour (book guide not avaible). After stop in Bagheria town, time to visit the Villa Palagonia, most famous ad monster’s villa, or to discover the city heart and the Mother Church. Road back to Palermo in about 1h.
One of the most requested excursion, Agrigento Full day, start every thursday. The famous Valley of Temples lies about 2 hours from Palermo, crossing the beautifull panoramic road of Sicani mountain, also called the road of cheese. First part of the excursion is by bookguide on nice promenade on valley of Temples, visiting: Temple of Hera, Temple of Concordia, Whitecastle villa & Temple of Heracle. After free time for lunch break & time to visit the incredible archeologic museum or for a charming promenade discovering the heart of the town on famous via Athenea. Back to Palermo about at 16.00

FROM CATANIA OR TAORMINA

ETNA Southern Side Monday / Saturday hrs. 08.30
The MOUNT ETNA excursion is a one day excursion by bus with tour leader. It is a basic excursion to Mt. Etna. Reaching Etna Refuge at 1.900 mts., time
for trekking or optional ascent to the area of main craters at 2,900 mts. Lunch on request. Warm clothes and closed shoes are recommended. The return to Taormina is scheduled for 4 pm.

ETNA ROUND & ALCANTARA GORGES Wednesday /Friday hrs. 07.00
The ETNA ROUND ALCANTARA is a complete discovery of Mt. Etna. Our tour will take you first to the Alcantara Gorges (entrance fees NOT included) and afterwards to the mediaeval town of Randazzo where you will take a special old little train called “Circumetnea” going to Adrano following the foot ofEtna. Then, proceed by bus up to Etna South Station 1.900 mts. Optional ascent to the main crater area, or trekking or lunch on request. Warm clothes and closed shoes are recommended.

ETNA VALLEY Randazzo ALCANTARA GORGES Sunday hrs. 08.00
The ETNA VALLEY ALCANTARA takes you from Taormina to the Alcantara Gorges for a short visit. Entry fees NOT included. Then the excursion will proceed to Randazzo. Visit to the Cathedral and the typical Sunday market. Departure to Etna North Refuge at 1.800 mts. Free time for lunch, trekking, or reaching the main craters area at 2.900 mts. By jeep (on option). Warm clothes and closed shoes are recommended.

ETNA SUNSET Tuesday /Thursday hrs. 15.00
The ETNA SUNSET is one day excursion by bus and jeep with tour leader and alpine guide. Reaching Etna Refuge at 1.800 mts, ascent by jeep to the proximity of the main craters area at about 3.000 mts.. Stop until sunset and return. Time for dinner in a local restaurant at 1.800 mts (dinner on option).
Warm clothes and closed shoes are recommended. Departure time will be modified during the season depend on the sunset time.

AGRIGENTO & Piazza ARMERINA Tuesday /Friday hrs. 06.30
The AGRIGENTO and PIAZZA ARMERINA is one day excursion through Sicily by bus with tour leader and local guide. Arriving in Agrigento, you will visit the Valley of Temples (Juno, Concordia, Hercules, Olympian Zeus, Castor and Pollux). After lunch (optional), departure to Piazza Armerina and visit of the Roman Villa del Casale with its famous mosaics. Entry fees NOT included.

SIRACUSA Monday Thursday hrs. 08.00
The SIRACUSA is a full day excursion by bus with tour leader and local guide. Visit to the Archaeological Area with Greek Theatre, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Altar of Hieron II and the Paradise’s Latomies with the “Dionysius Ear”. Following, visit of Ortigia Island with the Arethusa’s Fountain, the Temple of Apollo and the Cathedral. Lunch is optional. Entry fees NOT included

PALERMO/CEFALU’ Wednesday Saturday hrs. 06.00
PALERMO and CEFALU’ is one day excursion through Sicily by bus with tour leader and local guide. Arriving in Palermo, discover the most important Arab Norman monuments, such as the Martorana Church, the Cathedral, the Quattro Canti, Piazza Bellini, Piazza Pretoria, including a touch of local colour with the typical market “Il Capo”. Otherwise, optional visit of Monreale. After lunch (facultative), sightseeing by bus and departure to Cefalù. Visit of the historical centre with the Cathedral. Entry fees are NOT included.

NOTO/TELLARO/MARZAMEMI Sunday hrs. 08.00
The NOTO/TELLARO/MARZAMEMI is a one day excursion by bus with tour leader. Arrival in Noto and tour of the historic Baroque downtown. Proceed towards the Roman Villa of Tellaro to visit the mosaics. Travel to –Marzamemi, with free time to enjoy swimming and shopping for local products from the typical “Tonnara”. Lunch optional. Entrance fees NOT included.

CATANIA/RIVIERA dei CICLOPI Saturday hrs. 08.30
The CATANIA/RIVIERA dei CICLOPI is one day excursion by bus with tour leader. Short panoramic tour and arrive in Piazza Alcalà. Visit the old town and the fish market. Free time for shopping. Continue along the coastal road to Acicastello. Visit the Castle and continue to Acitrezza. Free time to visit the “Casa del Nespolo”, Lachea island and bathing. Lunch is optional. Return to Taormina through the citrus groves of the Ionian coast. Entry fees are extra.

All heritage sights across Sicily make an entrance charge between Euro 6,00 to Euro 8,00 per person as standard, therefore these will not be included in the price of your excursion ticket.
If you are under 18 years old or over the age of 65 and have a copy of your passport (picture page) you will get into all sights free of charge.
Excursions include coach, bus driver, multilingual speaking guide. No entrance tickets or lunches or dinners included.
